How To Redirect Deleted Post on Blogger To Fix 404 Error

you delete your post on Blogger, the deleted post causes 404 error on
internet or Google and see “there is nothing here”.
Sorry the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist.
You also see 404 or redirect error in
your Google Search Console (GSC) in Blogger.com whether you have custom
domain or subdomain
Now
how to Fix this Problem easily step-by-step with simple steps with examples
and images
Note:
Redirection for sub-domain (blogspot.com)
and custom domain
like exponect.com is same.
Step 1
Find
your deleted post on search engine (like Google) which you want to redirect to
the new post.
Copy
the correct URL Part of the Deleted Post
Don’t
copy the whole URL of the deleted post. Only copy the part of the deleted post
after slash (/). It means you will copy part of URL of deleted post from date
like
Deleted Poste URL:
https://exponect.com/2025/11/do-m1-urls-hurt-should-blogger-fix.html
you
will copy from 2025/11/do-m1-urls-hurt-should-blogger-fix.html
For Sub-domain
Old Deleted Post:
https://yourblog.com/2024/06/old-post-title.html
copy part of the URL after /
2024/06/old-post-title.html
The
above part of URL of deleted post with sub-domain on blogger.com
Step 3
Open Blogger.com
Website
Step 4
Login or sing in to your Blogger account with your Gmail account.
Step 5
Now,
in blogger select the new post with which you want to redirect your old deleted
post. Open this post and copy the part of the URL of new Post.
Now,
you have two posts
Old Deleted Post URL 1 (on Google)
New Post URL 2 on Blogger
Step 6
Go
to blogger dashboard and click on setting
Step 7
Scroll
down and find Errors and Redirects.
Here,
you will see Custom 404 and Custom Redirects
Step 8
Click on Add
Redirects
A box will open with Custom
Redirects
Click on ADD
Here
you will see two boxes or rows for writing Text above and below in Custom
Redirect as shown in the image below:
First
Box (From) for old deleted post URL part
In
Second Box (To) for new post URL part
Step 9
In
First box you will write the part of URL of old deleted post which start
from date after slash (/)
In
second box below the above text, you will write the part of the part of second
new post URL which also starts after from date after / (start from date)
Step 10
Now,
turn on Permanent
and click OK.
Step 11
After
two parts of URLs
Click
on Save
How To Verify redirection:

Now,
click on old post if it opens with new post then old post has been redirected
with new post.
After
this redirection you can fix easily error of 404 which you have seen in Google
Search Console (GSC)
